Rasipuram Krishnaswamy Iyer Narayanaswamy, popularly known as R.K.Narayan is one of the most celebrated authors who is from Mysuru. RKN wrote most of his books during the 1950s when he lived at his house which is situated at Yadavagiri, Mysuru. His house was converted into a museum a few years ago and has become the most interesting place of visit to book buffs since then. This villa is well maintained and houses all his works, rare photographs, awards won by him, things used by him such as writing tables, chairs, lamps etc. The interior is minimalistic and simple yet significant. This is a typical Old Mysore house and hence gives out a vintage feel. The equanimity of this home and its surroundings offers a soothing experience.
