A decade-long dream of veteran actor Dr. Vishnuvardhan’s fans came true as ‘Dr. Vishnuvardhan Memorial’ was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on 29th January, 2023 at Halalu village, HD Kote Road, Mysore.
The memorial is a remarkable tourist attraction and an academic centre for those who are interested in art and cinema. A full-fledged training centre, an audio-visual gallery with good sound acoustics, artistes’ room, fountain, exhibition, gallery, classrooms, directors’ cabins and office staff rooms are said to have been built as a part of the memorial.
The family of Vishnuvardhan is sure about this place being of both educational and tourist importance. Being a Mysurean, Vishnuvardhan was always close to Mysore. The memorial was a decade long dream of his family and fan fraternity. Now being a reality, it is going to inspire youths who wish to select cinema as their career. Most importantly, it is going to be a brand new tourist attraction.
