DPR to be prepared for Peripheral Ring Road
Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha recently submitted a memorandum to District In-Charge Minister S.T.Somashekar along with the Hon’ble Mayor Shivakumar and MUDA officials asking to develop a peripheral ring road (PRR). The PRR will be 5-6 kms. from the existing ring road. People from other cities wanting to visit neighbouring districts and taluks can travel in PRR without touching the ring road. The PRR project reduces traffic in Ring Road, improves infrastructure in the ring road surroundings.
18 acres of land sanctioned at Yelwala to build Kidwai Hospital
Bringing-in a unit of Kidwai Cancer Hospital to Mysuru was a long term demand of Myureans. MP Pratap Simha had urged the CM to take this forward. Now the Government of Karnataka has instructed the District Administration of Mysuru to reserve 18 acres of land near Yelwala in the name of the Medical Education Department. This land will be used to build Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology Cancer Research and Training Centre. This will boost health care in the city. This will make the city a major health care hub.
19 acres to be allotted for Intl. Cricket Stadium at Mysore
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has given consent for allotting about 19 acres of land at Hanchya-Sathagalli B Layout for the construction of an International Cricket Stadium in the city. Following an appeal by MP Pratap Simha, CM Bommai has sent a note to the MP stating that the proposal sent by Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) for land allotment to Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) for the construction of an International Stadium at Mysuru will be placed before the Cabinet for approval.
5th Vande Bharat Train to Mysuru
The 5th Vande Bharat Train will be launched on 10th November 2022. This train will run on Chennai- Bengaluru- Mysuru route. The Vande Bharat Express is a semi-high-speed, intercity, electric multiple unit train. Vande Bharat Express has a maximum speed of 160 km/h. The Vande Bharat Express offers a myriad of superior amenities which will provide passengers with aircraft-like travelling experience and advanced state-of-the-art safety features including Kavach technology – an indigenously developed Train Collision Avoidance System.
