The State Cabinet has given its nod to name Mysuru Airport after erstwhile King of Mysore, HH Sri Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar. Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar is the man who made Mysuru a model to the entire country by developing the city in all possible ways. He is worshipped even today for his immense contribution which has made Mysuru what it is now. He is still the most sought after role model when it comes to development.The Cabinet has also approved to release 240 acres of land for the development of Mysuru. Developmental works are expected start in the near future. It will facilitate better connectivity and flight movements to far-off places.
