An array of Automobile World

Do you love watching and knowing about vintage automobiles? Here is a place which makes you learn about over 500 years of automotive history! ‘Autofest City’ is a place which has a collection of authentic, licenced scale models displayed in two buildings with a total display area of 2,100 sq.ft. The collection of authentic scale models spans over 500 years of automotive history. It was founded by brothers Clyde & Neil D’Costa in September 1996.

The focus is to detail the historical development of automobiles manufactured by leading marques from around the world – Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Volkswagen, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Ford and Jaguar to name a few. This was launched with two Scale 43 models purchased at a local store in Mysore. It went on to Scale 24, then Scale 18 and finally Scales 12, 10 & 8.

The collection, with around 2,200 scale models today, has kit-assembled, individually-numbered limited edition & dealer edition scale models besides ready-built replicas. The collection also features replicas of concept cars, historical land-speed record holders and race winners.

The speciality of the collection is the detailed, informative displays. Scale models that form part of historical representation of each marque are displayed with technical specifications, highlights, photographs and logos of their real counterparts, a flag of the country of origin, scale model manufacturer’s logo, model authentication details & any snippets of information to enhance the value of the scale model on display.
