India’s One & Only Sandalwood Museum is in Mysuru

When it comes to Sandalwood production in Karnataka, Mysuru region has been a predominant contributor. Mysuru also has India’s first and the only Sandalwood Museum. Situated at Aranya Bhavan in Ashokapuram, the museum is an amazing tourist attraction. The museum enables the visitors to know about the history and cultivation of Sandalwood products. The Museum is set up by the Regional Forest Department. It displays an array of 20 classifications, billets & dust of Sandalwood. There are informative posters about Sandalwood growing and prevention of diseases. Many sandalwood products like oil, soaps, talcum powder, sculptures etc. are for sale in this museum. Tourists who visit this museum will surely enjoy the useful information about sandalwood.
